I have stains all over my car that won’t wash off! What are they?
The stains on this car look painfully familiar to many of you reading this article. You’ve tried washing them off of your car and found that they just won’t wash off. So what are they and where do they come from?
Well, during seasons when there is a lot of rain and melting snow, water will find its way into the parking garages. The water mixes with the minerals in the concrete which drips onto your car. After the moisture evaporates it leaves a residue on the surface. In a very short period of time, the deposit crystallizes forming this white substance which, if left untreated, hardens on the surface of your vehicle. It can cause damage and eventually deteriorate the clearcoat and paint surface of your vehicle. The longer you wait to treat the problem, the worse the problem becomes.
But be careful!!! Removing these stains is no job for amateurs. It’s best to contact a professional before you try to tackle this job yourself. All too often do-it-yourselfers end up scratching their vehicles trying to remove the deposits. Don’t worry though, there’s hope! The problem can be reversed through several options.
If you catch the problem early, all you may need is a calcium bath, buff and wax. If you wait, you may need wet sanding. And for those really unlucky souls, paint repair may be your only option. So if you see these stains on your car, you may want to call us right away!!! We’ll take care of it!
